But then this week, I heard from Facebook fan that she'd used this last weekend to go to three free tastings (awesome!). AND, this week I posted the Russian Foods Market Tour, featuring this picture of Georgian wines...and wouldn't you know it, there's a FREE! tasting of Georgian wines this very Sunday.

Also like many people who love to cook, I love to visit the grocery stores in foreign countries almost as much as I like to visit a museum or tourist hot spot. Fresh-Picked HQ was stricken with a hard drive crash this week. Needless to say, it’s a bit out of sorts here. So I’m not going to make an attempt to lead into this weekend’s highlights with any sort of cutesy preamble. Just know there are a bunch of great events this weekend. I especially want to highlight the “Empty Bowls” event on Saturday. It sounds like a great cause and fun event. Check it out!
