Seattle petits fours making classes

Image via Wikimedia Commons(In the interest of equal time, Fresh-Picked would like to offer this response to the last post from another denizen of the bakery case.)

Oh sure, you, you all impressed with the latest hot pastry trend from Paris. Eat your macarons! Make your fancy sandwich cookies!

Meanwhile, petits fours will STILL be there for you, with a bite-sized refinement and elegance those flash-in-the-pan macarons could only DREAM of.

For those who still appreciate the timeless appeal of the petit four, here are a couple upcoming classes where you can learn the craft behind these tiny beauties.

Wed, January 25, 6pm: Petits Fours Class at Dawn’s Candy and Cake.  $40

Mon, February 13, 6-9pm: Petits  Fours Class at South Seattle Community College. “Take home an extraordinary creation of these bite-sized, decorated cakes that you make.  Learn to decorate and finish this confection and add your distinctive touch. Petits Fours are perfect for desserts, teas or any special occasion.” $60
