Important site user note

Due to the volume of events covered, cancelations, sold out and full events might not always be updated in the calendar or old blog posts. Please always check directly with the event venue (links to venues or original postings are at the bottom of calendar entries or linked via the event name in blog posts) to ensure the event is still scheduled and available.

Seattle Southern, Cajun, and Creole cooking classes and events

Image via Flickr user IzikMardi Gras is on its way! Mardi Gras in 2012 is on Tuesday, February 21. I'll do a round-up specifically related to Mardi Gras events closer to the day, but in the meantime, if you're thinking of throwing your own party, you might want to brush up on the flavors of the South. See the calendar of events below for cooking classes and other events.

Two things to keep an eye out for:

  • Tom Douglas Restaurants should be announcing a Southern food pop-up soon. Check their site for dates, and I'll be adding it to the calendar below as soon as they are announced.
  • Also for your New Orleans food fix anytime, check out Where Ya At Matt to see where their food truck is dishing it out during the week.
