New year, new food: weight loss and eating light

Image via Flickr user Fimb

It's a new year, and many people are making dietary changes, for weight loss or health reasons, or just to reset after the overindulgence of the holiday. This week, I'm listing events and resources related to some different ways of eating. Next up: eating light and healthy. (Previously in this series: raw food events and resources.)

While most of us would concede we feel physically better when we eat healthier, the prospect of returning to virtue after the delicious indulgence of the holidays often seems dauntingly grim.

So why not get a little help? Check out some of the events below that focus on eating healthier and weight loss. They include cooking classes and demos on healthy cooking techniques and sugar-free sweets, but also include some other options like hypnosis for weight loss and a free talk on weight loss surgery.
