Image via flick user Apol3Happy Monday! Hope you had an excellent weekend. Here are the picks for your weeknights this week, and a quick heads-up: be sure to check back on the site often this week. In addition to the regular features, there will be a few special additions and a listing to get you ready for St. Patrick's Day!

Monday, March 1, 5-8pm: Brewers Night at The Beer Authority: Ninkasi. “We'll be pouring the Renew Ale, Spring Reign (releases this day) and Tricerahops. One $8 fee gets you three 10 oz. pours and you get to take the Ninkasi glass home when you're done!”

Tuesday, March 2, 7pm: FREE! Book Talk: "The Informed Gardener Blooms Again" by Linda Chalker-Scott at Elliott Bay Book Co. “Does using drought-tolerant plants reduce water consumption? Does aerobically brewed compost tea suppress disease? Urban horticulturalist Linda Chalker-Scott discusses common gardening practices, drawing from science to separate the stereotypes from helpful practices, all encompassed in her new book.”

Wednesday, March 3, 6:30-8pm: Languedoc Wine Tasting at Fremont PCC Natural Market. “We’re delighted to introduce you to the owner of Chateau Ollieux Romanis, M. Pierre Bories! Please join us as we taste and talk with and learn from this Languedoc vintner. Cost is $5 per person, paid at the door.”

Thursday, March 4, 5-7pm: FREE! Culinary Director of Chateau Ste. Michelle Winery John Sarich Downtown Supermarket Demo. “John will be conducting an in-store demonstration of food and wine pairings. This event is free and open to the general public.”
