Weekend Bonus: Free Wine Tastings

Image via Flickr user DerekGaveyIt's looking to be a gorgeous Saturday today. I am hoping my allergies calm down enough to get out in it!  If you are allergy-free or have a more effective medication than I'm apparently using, you might already be on your way to a day of outdoor fun. 

Well, if you want to take a break at some point, why not head to one of our local wine shops for a free tasting?  Here's a round-up of a few FREE! FREE! FREE! tastings to be had today!

• 11:30am-2pm: Den Hoed Reds at Ravenna McCarthy & Schiering.
• 12-5pm: I wasn’t able to confirm this prior to posting, but the free Saturday tastings at Champion Wine was reported to be at this time by this Seattle Times article on free tastings. If you want to call ahead, their number is 206-284-8306.
• 12-6:30pm: Tertulia from Walla Walla at All Things Wine in Renton.
• 2-4pm: Italian Wines from the Piedmont at DeLaurenti Wine Shop downtown.
• 2-5pm: Under $10 Value Wines at Esquin.
• 2:30-5pm: Den Hoed Reds at Queen Anne McCarthy & Schiering.

European Vine Selection on 522 15th Ave E (capitol hill) has tastings most saturdays. The vendors who come to pour are always knowledgeable, and the store's owners are incredibly friendly and helpful as well! Check the webpage to get on the mailing list. http://evswines.com/news.html
