Seattle Food World Help for Haiti

I've been seeing the tweets from local food folks offering help for Haiti. I thought it might be a good idea to round them up in one place. If you're heading out to eat or buy food, maybe check the list; you might be able to grab a bite and do some good all at once. I'll keep this updated as I see new events posted.

- Theo Chocolate announced they will donate 100% of the purchase of their Classic 45% Milk & 70% Dark Chocolate to CARE. Thanks to Seattle Food Geek for tweet that these bars will be sold at all Seattle/Olympia Caffe Vita locations.
- PCC Natural Markets, an all-around awesome local business, announced they are donating $25,000 to the relief effort. I love that store so much.
- Savory Sweet Life is offering $1 for each comment left on her site, up to $1000.
- Homegrown is selling $5 bags of Creole popcorn with 100% of the proceeds going to Yele.org.
- NEW! Double Your Donations to Mercy Corps’ Haiti Earthquake Recovery Efforts at Consolidated Restaurants: Donations matched dollar for dollar at Metropolitan Grill, Elliott’s Oyster House, Steamer’s Seafood Cafes, Quincy’s Burgers and Wing Dome.
- NEW! Whole Foods Redmond is offering a fundraising auction for a special dinner. "Private Dinner for 6, benefitting earthquake survivors in Haiti. On the table is a fabulous five-course dinner for six people, created in your home by one of our expert chefs. Each course is served with wine pairings chosen by our certified sommelier. 100% of the proceeds go directly to support AmeriCares in their work with Haitian earthquake victims. (Whole Foods Market Redmond will donate all of the ingredients for this incredible meal.) Bidding starts at $500, and bids may be placed in $25 increments."
NEW! Saturday, February 27: Haitian Relief Dinner @ Whole Foods Roosevelt. 5:30pm to 8:30pm $15.00 per meal, $3 pints of beer & glasses of wine with 100% of the proceeds to benefit the Haitian Earthquake Relief Fund. We're serving up a delicious Haitian meal and local drinks to support the relief efforts of AmeriCares Disaster Relief organization. Our team members and several of our local partner vendors are volunteering their support for this amazing meal and important cause. Tonight's menu: Fried Plantains with Lime Sauce, Creole Jambalaya (Both Vegetarian & Meat), Red Rice & Beans, Spinach in Creamy Coconut Sauce, Traditional Haitian Cake, Sweet Iced Tea."

SUNDAY, JANUARY 17
- At Full Tilt Ice Cream "This sunday at the White Center store, all profits go to Red Cross for Haiti relief." All profits will now be donated from all three Full Tilt stores on Sunday.
- Dog Mountain Farm will donate 15% of the proceeds from chicken and duck egg sales at the Fremont Market.
MONDAY, JANUARY 18: See CitySearch Seattle for details on Nectar's fundraising rally. $10 donation and proceeds from sales of 42 Below vodka will go to Convoy of Hope.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 19: Betty & Crow are donating all of the evening's proceeds to Doctors Without Borders.
THURSDAY, JANUARY 21: Coastal Kitchen. "25% of the entire day's sales at Coastal Kitchen will be donated to Mercy Corps towards relief from this terrible disaster that has devasted the people of Haiti. This is all day, from 8am to 10pm. Additionally, a Mercy Corps Volunteer will be on site to receive any additional donations and will answer any questions you may have." SATURDAY, JANUARY 23:
- It looks like Waid's Haitian is organizing another fundraiser. Details TBD. (The event info link requries a Facebook account to view. If you do not have one, please contact Waid's for more info.
- The Beer Authority in Lake City will be tapping a keg of Victory's Prima Pils to raise money for Haiti. $5.50 pints and $20 growlers. See this Seattle Weekly post for details.
- The Barking Dog Alehouse will be holding a fundraiser on Saturday. Drink beer & do good! See this Washington Beer Blog post for details.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 24:
- Just announced from Willows Lodge: "Dine Out to Support Haiti on Sun. 1/24 in the Barking Frog where 10% of the profits will go to the Red Cross to support relief efforts."
- Also see the Dine Out Seattle listing of restaurants donating a percentage of their proceeds this day to Haiti Relief. MONDAY, JANUARY 25: Campagne is hosting Haiti fund raising dinner Monday January 25th.
TUESDAY, JANUARY 26:
- Haiti Fundraiser @ Boom Noodle Pike location. "7pm - 11 w/ All Nite Happy Hr. 25% of bar sales to Haiti relief. Art Auction & Donations!"
- Carmelita Vegetarian Restaurant offering special menu with 100% of proceeds from that menu going to Oxfam America Haitian Relief Fund.
SUNDAY, JANUARY 31:
- Cellar 46 will be holding a fundraiser dinner: "In response to this crisis, we are organizing a benefit on Sunday, January 31st (times TBD) with proceeds going directly toward American relief efforts in Haiti. We will enjoy music, food & drink all for a great cause. Donations can be made at the door and will assist in providing much needed food, water, medical supplies etc...More information will be posted to our website in the next few days."
- Vegan Bake Sale at Neptune Coffee from 2-5pm. They are looking for bakers to contribute too. Details in Facebook event in link (requires FB account to view).
Wednesday, February 10: La Spiga is holding a fundraiser for Haiti: "Wed Feb 10th, 6pm, we invite guests to join us in the Mezzanine to help raise funds for Haiti. 100% of the proceeds will go to Unicef. The suggested donation is $25. We will provide a buffet dinner and the space for guests to mingle and take a moment to reflect on the state of Haiti."
