If you are planning for a special meal out for New Year's Eve, check out yesterday's post with a listing of Seattle restaurants open for the evening.
What if you are looking for something a little different to welcome in 2010? Here are some other ideas. For one, maybe you want to make a special meal yourself for your family or a party. See the below calendar with some events related to cooking New Year's Eve specialties, including many focused on "lucky" dishes for a fortunate 2010.
Don't forget to see the Champagne & Sparkling Wine Events post for tastings to help you select the right bottle for the evening.
And you want to plan for the inevitable post-holiday guilt, I've already started collecting the resolution-related food events planned for early 2010. Sign up now for a healthy cooking class, and celebrate with abandon for the next couple of weeks!
And here are a few non-food New Year's Eve events:
- New Year's Eve Concert at St.James Cathedral: Roman Choral Fireworks by Handel
- Cake at The Moore Theater with Throw Me the Statue, Locust, King City
- Seattle Symphony has a Beethoven and Brahms concert (there's also a dinner beforehand).
- Ring in the New Year with Nighttime Low Tide at the Beach. Nudibranchs, seastars and sea squirts. Only $8 for adults and $6 for kids!
