Seattle Foodie Gifts
In the first of what will probably be a series, here are a few gift ideas for your Seattle food-loving friends and fam...
Strangercrombie! The Stranger’s Annual Charity Auction (benefiting Treehouse, which serves abused and neglected kids), offers several fun options for food and cooking gifts:
- Fancy Feast: Dinner for two at The Herbfarm and a copy of The Herbfarm Cookbook.
- Dinner for six cooked by Ethan Stowell
- Pizza Glutton: HOLY CRAP THIS IS AWESOME. One extra-large pizza per month for a year from Sodo Pizza, a $40 gift certificate to Tutta Bella Neapolitan Pizzeria, $100 gift certificate to Pagliacci and $100 gift certificate to Pizza Fusion.
- Cooking Class with Tilson: “Tilson, the smooth-talkin’ ladies’ man from the Saturday Knights, takes you to a [cooking] class you’ll want to tell the grandkids about (grandkids not included).”
- Prince of Pike Place Market: A private Market Ghost Tour for up to 10 people, a $50 gift certificate to the [wonderful] Alibi Room, a $100 gift certificate to Il Bistro, 10 tickets to a live improv show with Unexpected Productions, and two tickets for Spiritus at the Rendezvous with Faye, “the Tattooed Psychic.”
- Tapas and Bottoms: This stretch of a pairing - membership in the Panty of the Month club and a $50 gift certif. to Tango restaurant.
And that is not the only underwear-related auction available. The unwashed underwear worn by the Strangercrombie male models is also available for purchase. I am refraining from further comment.
The auction ends December 12 at 5:00pm.

And when you need a break from the spending, making and wrapping, here’s something else to consider...the Vajralama Buddhist Center is offering a special meditation class called Buddha's Guide to Giving: Learn about all the different kinds of riches you can give to your loved ones this holiday season. Dec. 8 & 15 from 7:30 to 9:00. See the Rainier Valley Post for more details.
