SPL's Urban Self-Reliance Series: free classes on gardening, canning, sewing, biking, wild food, non-toxic home cleaning, more

Photo credits at bottom of postIn a childlike excitement about so very many free classes, I posted this last month, and now, since the first Urban Self-Reliance class is almost here (Saturday!), I'm posting them all again.

This fall, the Seattle Public Library is offering a big series of FREE classes on gardening, canning, bike maintenance, bike commuting, seismic home retrofitting, tool lending library, neighborhood matching funds, preparing a disaster kit, mushroom identification, edible weeds, sewing, chicken keeping, non-toxic home cleaners…

You can find all of the events at the SPL calendar by searching on the word "reliance." Some events might require RSVP, so be sure to check ahead on any that interest you.
