Saturday, August 21
- 10am: Balanced Beautiful Skin at Pharmaca Wallingford. "Learn to listen to what your skin needs, then figure out how to balance it out with the best natural products."
- 10am-12pm: Snoqualmie 101 at Meadowbrook Farm in Snoqualmie. "Using historic photographs from the Snoqualmie Valley Historical Society, Dave Battey shares a PowerPoint history of the City of Snoqualmie from the ice age through the 1950’s. Cataclysmic beginnings, Native Americans, early settlers, the growth of logging and agriculture, the coming of the railroads and much more."
- 11am: Business of Art Seminar. "Learn to turn your artwork into cards, copyrighting, licensing, and more. Pre-registration required."
- 11am: She Sings Sea Songs at the West Seattle Branch. "Popular Northwest children’s performer Nancy Stewart sings songs with an emphasis on the Pacific Northwest coast, including tide pools and ferry boats. For ages 10 and under."
- 12pm: Rick Steves Travel Class: Digital Photography for Travelers with Patricia Ridenour.
- 7pm: Book Talk: Gay City, Volume 3: Re-Pulped at Elliott Bay Book Co. "A collection of photographs, comics, stories, essays, and poetry, this anthology also includes selections from contemporary artists and queer pioneers, all working across genres to redefine what gay was, is, and might be."
- 7pm: Caspar Babypants – More Please! at Library Connection @ Southcenter. "Ages 2 to 5 with adult. Chris Ballew is better known as the lead singer of the Seattle based rock and roll band, The Presidents of the United States of America. This group includes three singers, electric piano, electric guitar and percussion. The show includes simple songs families can sing together to reinforce many concepts related to Early Literacy."
- 9pm: Free Film: Twilight at Seattle Center Mural Amphitheatre.
Sunday, August 22
- 11am-4pm: Portalis Wine Tasting: Sunday Tasting: Alsace & Rhône.
- 12 & 2pm: Art Demo: Watercolor - Techniques for Texture at Daniel Smith Seattle.
- 12pm: Chef Jim Drohman of Café Presse Cooks at Broadway Farmers Market. "Chef Jim Drohman will share his French-inspired love for good food with Broadway Farmers Market shoppers. Using the skills he acquired in French culinary school and from years of café style cooking in Seattle, Jim will demonstrate his favorite way to cook one of late summer’s most desirable foods: TOMATOES!"
- 2:30pm: Music Free For The People at Restaurant Le Pichet. Bradley Carter Solo Guitar, Flat-picking and Finger-style.
- 3pm: Zinery 101 at the Greenwood Branch. "A zine is a self-published magazine. Learn the basics and make your own zine with Lucy Morehouse of Ong Ong Press. For ages 12-18. Limited to 20 people. Please register with the branch."
- 9pm: Free Film: The Twilight Saga - New Moon at Seattle Center Mural Amphitheatre.
